Safe, small, and fun Aikido training—right at school after the bell.
Class Details
Our Philosophy
The hallmark of Pacific Aikido’s classes is a balance of discipline and fun, both of which are equally important. Students begin by learning respect—for the dojo, instructors, and each other. Training with partners, not opponents, develops self-control, focus, and teamwork. Through drills, games, and practice, children gain confidence in a safe, supportive environment that encourages both physical and emotional growth.
Every class emphasizes respect, focus, and cooperation, with training always building on strong fundamentals. Children progress to advanced techniques at their own pace while developing fitness, confidence, and coordination. Above all, Pacific Aikido is designed to be engaging, rewarding, and fun—helping students grow both on and off the mats.
In-School, After the Bell
We run classes directly on campus right after dismissal, so there’s no extra commute or schedule juggling. Lessons are taught in clear, friendly English and paced for mixed experience levels. The familiar school setting keeps kids relaxed and consistent—great for building habits and confidence.
Safety-First Fundamentals
Every class begins with age-appropriate warm-ups and ukemi (safe falling). We emphasize posture, footwork, and core movements before adding complexity. Small groups (about 5:1) let teachers correct technique early, manage spacing, and keep training safe while kids master the basics that make everything else click.
Partner Practice
Students start with one-on-one attention inside a small group, then progress to more partner work as control and awareness grow. Partners are matched by age, size, and experience, with focused rounds and clear coaching. We mix in skill-building games to keep practice engaging while reinforcing respect, cooperation, and real-world self-defense skills.
Schedule & Enrollment
School Year
We generally follow three terms—Fall (Sep–Dec), Winter (Jan–Mar), and Spring (Apr–Jun). Intensive (daily) sessions happen during Winter, Spring, and Summer holidays. Some schools operate on a two-term system.
Enrollment Continuity
Once registered, enrollment continues automatically for the rest of the school year so students keep their place.
Fees & Deadlines
Please pay fees on time to ensure continuity. Tuition and exact dates vary by school—contact us for details.
Class Size & Structure
Children’s classes are 60 minutes and deliberately kept small—generally no more than five students per teacher.
New students often start with one-on-one attention inside a small group and simple partner drills. As skills grow, partner practice increases to match experience and control.
